Do u have a shika(tuft) to make ur karmas fruitful?

Karmas like sandhayavandhanam,tharpanam,shraadham etc become fruitless if it is done without having shika in ur head.Like havir offerings done in ash which is of no use,similarly karmas done without shika doesn't reach the devas but gives strength to asuras!
